Special guest includes Joel Bartko from Arizona Imports. Also on this show:

  • What are you paying for with a vehicle diagnostic?
  • How do you know to trust the shop you choose to perform the correct diagnostic?
  • What are the complications involved with computer or electronic parts?
  • Drawing the line between a timely diagnostic and knowing if your workers are competent.
  • 2004 Toyota 4runner: Intermittent shimmy from right front while braking. I’ve tried rotating tires, replaced pads, checked steering, etc. Any further advice?
  • 2004 Honda Accord: Shaking while driving at 55-65 mph only during acceleration. Any idea what this could be?
  • 2000 Chevrolet Venture Van: Begins to shift hard after a while. After pulling over seems okay again. Is this a transmission pump issue?
  • 2008 Chevrolet Silverado: Feels as if it is shifting into first gear early while coming to a stop recently. Is there any specific maintenance that could stop this from happening?
  • 2013 Dodge Ram. Similar feel regarding early first gear “clunk”. Although Chrysler has replaced the propeller shaft and other parts, the same problem has arisen again recently. What do you think?
  • 2008 Nissan Titan: Clunk in the rear area, possible spring issue. What parts would you recommend replacing first?
  • 1999 Isuzu Rodeo: Getting this back to good condition for my daughter, however there is a problem shifting into 2nd or 3rd gear. Additional electrical problems (radio, lights). Will it be reasonable to fix this car?
