Goodguys Announces 2023 Show Schedule With New Format To Include Additional Cities

FORT WORTH, Texas – Goodguys Rod & Custom Association, the world’s largest hot rod association and producer of America’s favorite car shows, announces its 2023 event schedule along with an exciting show schedule extension that will enable more enthusiasts across the country to join Goodguys in celebrating the automotive hobby and car culture.

The upcoming 40th-anniversary 2023 Goodguys season will feature 12 three-day National events and two two-day Get-Togethers in Pleasanton, California, Goodguys’ original headquarters. All 14 events are scheduled as close to their traditional weekends as possible, with no venue changes for the upcoming season.

Each of the 14 events will include experiences for the whole family, such as burnout competitions, kids’ zones, live entertainment and more while showcasing thousands of hot rods, muscle cars, customs, classics and trucks from 1998 and prior. Additionally, all 12 National events will incorporate All-American Sunday, welcoming all-American-made or -powered vehicles of all years to the show to cap off each weekend’s festivities.

In addition to the 14-event schedule, 2023 will see the addition of an all-new show format for Goodguys which will include a series of two-day events to be hosted in additional cities across the United States. The all-new series of events will increase accessibility to more automotive enthusiasts across America and provide an opportunity for participation by local communities, car builders, car clubs, enthusiasts and more. Individual show features will include cruising, gatherings at local points of interest, build shops & collections, live music, parties and more. While each event may have different highlights, awards, themes or participating vehicle requirements, they will all exhibit the same passion for car culture in a family-friendly environment and continue to promote the automotive lifestyle for all generations. Dates, cities and details for the new localized event series will be announced in the coming months.

“We’re excited to get back to the roots of hot-rod gatherings and really interact with these communities on a deeper level,” said Andrew Ebel, COO of Goodguys. “Curating our list of large-scale events in 2023 allows us to spend our energy expanding into some huge car markets that we haven’t previously been able to reach and really welcome more of our membership and fanbase into the Goodguys family.”

The changes to next year’s schedule set the stage for an exciting and more inclusive 2023 season, with thousands of registered vehicles and tens of thousands of spectators expected at each show. Highlights such as the Goodguys Classic Performance Products Autocross Series, the Summit Racing Nitro Thunderfest Dragster Exhibition, the coveted Meguiar’s “Top 12” Awards and regional favorites such as demolition derbies, fireworks and lowrider hopping contests will also remain a part of the 2023 season.

Goodguys members are encouraged to take advantage of “Early-Bird” vehicle registration pricing and save $20 off the at-event price for any 2023 National event and $15 off the at-event price for any Get-Together event between now and December 31, 2023, by visiting www.good-guys.com.
