"Nissan SmartCar" Connects Cars with Mobile Devices

bright box LLC, the European provider of the "Remoto" connected car platform for automobile manufacturers (http://www.bright-box.eu) with headquarters in Vienna, has equipped Nissan Middle East with its turn-key platform. The new "Nissan SmartCar" solution is based on Remoto by bright box. To begin with, Nissan has supplied its segment in Dubai with the new connected car solution. This includes the SUV Nissan Patrol and the limousine Nissan Maxima being now equipped with Nissan SmartCar (http://nissan-smartcar.com/site/Home-en). Following positive responses in Dubai, Nissan Middle East wants to roll out its connected car platform in GCC states.

Competitive edge with Smart Cars

Nissan is one of the few automotive manufacturers that offers vehicles with a holistic connected car platform in the Middle Eastern market. In addition to Remoto, the customer app "Dealer Mobility" also belongs to the Nissan SmartCar package from bright box. The connected car solution is arousing a great deal of customer interest with its secure mobility and excellent service features: Available for iOS and Android, the app allows users to gain remote control of locks, headlights, the windows and, most importantly for the region, the vehicle´s air conditioning. "We are pleased to offer an innovative solution for the rapidly growing automotive market that meets both the needs of manufacturers and those of the car owners", says Robert Schüßler, Vice President bright box.

Pinpoint marketing

Thanks to Remoto and Dealer Mobility, Nissan Middle East will not only provide its customers with better, more efficient services. Together with bright box new paths for highly focused marketing activities will be tested. The connected car solution makes it transparent where the drivers of Nissan vehicles move and spend time. Nissan Dubai and its partners can now concentrate their marketing activities specifically to these locations.

Turnkey platform

Remoto is the core of the Nissan SmartCar solution. With Remoto, bright box delivers a turnkey connected car platform from a single source. It comprises all components that an automobile manufacturer needs: a certified Telematic Control Unit (TCU) to be installed in the vehicles, a web-based control panel and a customer app for the vehicle's owner to control and track it remotely. Dealer Mobility, a customer app solution for automobile dealers, rounds off the portfolio of bright box' connected car specialists.
